Hungary’s apple-juice supply takes a climate shock as EU sugar-reduction rules sharpen
A frost-, heat- and drought-hit harvest is undermining supply to processors just as EU rules specify which aids may be used in yeast-fermented reduced-sugar juice. The Commission act identified below was adopted on 10 September—outside the requested 14-day window—so no qualifying regulatory development in 29 September–13 October is claimed.
